Valley Games is always willing to look at new game ideas. We welcome submissions of all types of games as we offer products to every market.
Here are some frequently asked questions when it comes to designers submitting game ideas:
Q: What are some of the things I need to send to Valley Games if we cannot have a face to face meeting in order to have my game understood?
A: The best way for us to understand it fully is to see it, no matter what you have made as a prototype, it gives us a point of reference in deciding if the game is something we are going to sign. So that can be pictures, rules, artwork, descriptions etc. If you think it's not good enough, don't worry, some of the most prolific designers out there have submitted designs on construction paper and crayon, I kid you not. But, the easier it is for us to "get it" the better the chance the game goes to print.
Q: How do I know that you won't steal my idea?
A: We wouldn't be in business very long if we stole ideas sent to us. Every designer that we have worked with in the past has done so with emails and phone calls until such a time that we both are ready to sign the game for publication. At that point we move to the contract phase where everything is documented. If you wish us to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement we can as comfort levels are different for everyone. If the game does not appeal to us then we will return all materials back to you.
Q: How long will you keep my prototype?
A: We like to play it, if we meet at a convention and we can play it there, great. If we like it, we need feedback from our playtesters, so we like to hold onto it for at least 2 months to give us that chance, sometimes longer if we need to. We keep in contact advising where we are with the games and what we are thinking of if there are ideas from our side. It can really help in the development as there are things that come up from time to time that are discovered after a few plays.
Q: Is there anything else I need to know?
A: Treat this as an interview as someone is going to invest a great deal of money in you. If you can help us to make a better decision then please feel free to send us more information we can never have too much, related to the game of course.
